How we decide what to publish

We publish a claim only when it is backed by a primary source we can link to:

• An independent lab report or forensic lab alert (for example CFSRE NPS Discovery)
• A peer-reviewed study that tested commercial products
• An FDA recall notice or an FDA warning-letter announcement that names the firm

We do not publish items tagged “Suspected,” claims based only on a seller listing, or claims based only on a lawsuit allegation or a news story.

We stick to facts: “FDA’s announcement dated July 15, 2025 says it sent a warning letter to [firm]…” or “CFSRE forensic testing, May 2026 found…” A warning letter to a firm is not a finding about every product that firm sells; we say so on the card.

We do not publish individual store or seller names or addresses. Internal notes, outreach records and unsourced tips stay in our private workspace.

If we got a fact wrong, tell us. Every product card links to our corrections and report-an-error page. We review reports and correct the public page when a primary source shows we were wrong.
